What should the diver check when deploying the bioscope?

1. When lowering the bioscope after cleaning, lower it slowly and carefully by holding the steel ring and the rope. During the lowering process, gradually pay out the suspension ropes.

2. Ensure there is sufficient slack in the sea cable between the steel ring and the bioscope, as well as slack from the steel ring to the cable entry in the net. If the cable is too tight between the steel ring and the bioscope, release additional cable from the point where it is taped to the steel ring. There should be enough slack for the cable to be moved freely by hand.

3. Check the three ropes between the bioscope and the steel ring. These must hang as shown in the illustration under. There should be no twisting or crossing of the ropes.

4. Ensure that the suspension ropes are of equal length from the steel ring to the attachment point.
